Included with your purchase…
- Your brand new WordPress website will be configured with all the optimum settings, following all best practices, as covered on the training course.
- A selection of the latest recommended plugins will be installed and activated, to include the leading plugins for contact forms, SEO, social media, privacy, etc.
- The latest Genesis framework will be installed along with any 2-3 child themes of your choice from StudioPress.
The site will be setup on any domain name of your choice.
You need to buy this domain name first. They typically only cost £5-10/yr. You should always buy and register your own domain names with your own details – never let a developer or agency buy it for you, it could be a pain getting back control!
If you do not yet have the domain name, get advice on choosing one, by searching Google for “choose a domain name”. Read a wealth of independent advice from different sources. We recommend you buy the domain at TSO Host or 123reg. After purchase, contact us with the domain name you have bought to get it applied to this new site.
To go ahead…
Just add this New WordPress Website product to your basket above and then subscribe to the monthly hosting below and checkout using card, via Stripe. You can then contact WP Courses here or by clicking on “Contact” in the top menu above. Enter the subject “New WordPress Website” and enter the domain name you have bought in the message box.
Point your domain nameservers
This stage is done by you and is vital, so please make sure you complete this. If you have any problems, contact Toby.
So your domain name can be applied to your site, you must login to your domain name registrar and change the 1st (primary) nameservers to ns.mainnameserver.com and 2nd (secondary) nameservers to ns2.mainnameserver.com. Any other nameservers listed there must be removed/cleared/deleted.
(If you already have a website or emails running on this domain name, please contact Toby, as these will stop working when you point your nameservers to me. I can advise on how to keep downtime to a minimum, by my doing the setup first, then you pointing the nameservers by arrangement)
Your domain registrar should make editing nameservers clear and easy to do, by visiting e.g. “Domains” / “DNS Settings” / “Nameservers” / “Namesever Management”) but if they do not, you can contact your domain registrar for assistance with this. Just to reiterate, your chosen domains nameservers must be pointed to…
Optional Extra: Get the theme of your choice setup for you too.
For an additional hour, your chosen theme will be set up as per the demo, with all the necessary plugins installed, configurations made and populated with all the demo content to showcase what the theme can do. As an example, see the demo site for Corporate Pro at https://
